It was Eight, evening time. I was getting back home from office. Had to travel an hour before I get to my destination. The buses were insanely overflowing. Still I managed to get on one and for my luck there was a vacant seat hidden from everyone's eyes, but me. Thanked god for this and sulked comfortably into this seat. My luck streak did not seem to end here. Sitting next to me was this gorgeous looking girl - I was not able to take my eyes of her (she was looking in the other direction of course).’WOW!’ I thought. The best part was she was not on her mobile (Considering recent times were you can hardly see any good looking girl without a phone in the ear, that is – of course, when their boy friend was not travelling along). And like ever, good things come at a cost.
The cost? It was this guy sitting behind me who kept budging my seat from the back constantly that too in perfect rhythm! I turned around, asked him politely, ‘Do you mind stop doing that? It kinda bothers me’ (same thing in my native tongue but). A minute passed by; a few got down at an important bus terminal, but not this dude behind me. He again started with his maniacal act. I turned back a bit irritated (after all I was returning back from work) and told him ‘Thala (Boss in Tamil), please!’, in return he said ‘Sorry Boss!’ with utmost sincerity.
Not Considering the dude in the rear, I found the circumstances were pretty ok to strike a small conversation with this girl next to me. But it was she, who first gave out the start. ’This guy has been irritating people by doing this from the start of the journey, now you fell into his net’ she said, smiling. It was all good when she started speaking. But ‘falling into the crazy dude’s net? Nobody makes me fall in a net!’ said the Chivalrous male in me.
And then came the golden moment, HE DID IT AGAIN! 3...2...1...I turned back stood up and asked him, ‘Are you a Brainless fool?’He giggled horribly .I also found out, he was shorter than me and not that muscular too when I could get a clear sight of him. His laughing continued, I looked at the girl who was now starring at me, and then was this ripe moment. I never knew what made me do this; I took hold of the moment and dived in a deep punch to the dude’s nose. The girl had now started laughing at me. I was wondering why she was doing that; shouldn’t she be praising me for all this trouble I invited? And that is when the truth dawned over me! I realised there was something warm flowing over my hand. I looked at it, it was blood. MY BLOOD! The Dude I punched was all LOL at me. He dint have a scathe in his face. The girl told me ‘Why did you do that? Even my grandson would have identified that guy as a surrogate! She smiled and got down from the bus.’ I started Crying.
‘Dude!…get up, its 8 don’t you wanna go to the gym?’ Said my roomie. ‘Gym? Can I send my Surrogate to the gym?’ I said!
‘The Surrogates’ – The Movie:
The Movie stars Bruce Willis in a role of an FBI agent in the year 2017, where robots serve as Surrogates, designed as younger and better-looking versions of their human operators – VSI is the pioneer in this technology. People can be safe as they have surrogates to represent themselves in the real world and hence when they get hit by a truck, it is their robotic surrogate which could incur the damage while they can sit safe at their houses controlling the robot through their minds.
But things start getting into trouble when Surrogate users also get killed along with their robotic surrogates because of some unknown cause. And to draw a solution to this new menace, our protogonist takes things in his hand and the rest is story of this sci fi action drama.
Bruce Willis, who has a surrogate himself, investigates on this case and finds the existence of a weapon which could kill a surrogate and in turn the user of the surrogate. This weapon declared to be the Ultimate Surrogate Killer, will decide the fate of all the people who have resumed their lives through surrogates. The fate of the future lies in the hands of Bruce Willis and his team to handle this new enemy.
SURROGATES…What are they?!
Surrogates are remote controlled robots which can be purchased and custom built to resemble the human users and can be used as a representative of them in the real world with the users controlling them remotely from their minds.
Do they exist in the real world?
They Don’t, for now. The movie ‘The Surrogates’ has brought light into such a technology which might come into existence in the far future or could never happen.
In the above made up life scenario – was the girl a Surrogate too?
By the Explanation she put up, she could well be close to 70 years old!
Have a great day folks!

The Launch!
Hi to one and all, this is Bharath Karthikeyan from India.Am in the much happening 21 years of age and thought if the sissies could start blogging, why not me!
What is BMR???
(Its has got all the possible answers)
BMR times is something which dint take much time to conceive. Its just a short way for Bharath's Movie reviews.I know it sounds way too dumb, but who knows as ppl say certain things reach faster than something told complex.Any i will definitely work on the title! ;-)
Why did BMR blogs take-off???
I was interested in reviewing movies(oh,Half the world is reviewing movies),but i felt there were quite a bunch of unsung movies getting away too un-noticed.So i thought why not review such movies or atleast give out the essential message, the movies try to convey with the audience. So these are some of the goodies u could get of my blog. And of course you can also get tons of links, reviews, special announcements of all the latest happenings in the movie world as and when they come out.
Are these similar to the SMS reviews we used to get???
If you are one of those lucky persons, then YES it is!!!
My Goal:
World cinema had always inspired me,with the major portion to be taken by the hollywood movies.BMR is a way of my dedication to cinema worldwide. As an added benefit people worldwide can get a sneak peek of a thriving film industry by the name of KOLLYWOOD.It is located in chennai, india. The place of birth for the "super star" RAJNI KANT(If you lost track with this line, just google RAJNIKANT!).
So with this all said, ill get BLOGGING rite away....vvveeeee!!!
